The American Red Cross is partnering with the Tell City Fire Department and Waupaca Foundry to help “Sound the Alarm”, providing home fire prevention education and installing free smoke alarms.

This event will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

It will involve door-to-door canvassing, starting in the neighborhood where a fire killed three children.

This canvass is designed to help protect residents and make sure they’re knowledgeable about home fire prevention and preparedness.

This event is part of a nationwide American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign.

The Red Cross responds to nearly 64,000 disasters a year, with majority of those being house fires.

If you would like to volunteer for the canvassing event, RSVP at volunteerindcs@redcross.org.
Training will begin at 9 a.m. at The Depot, 333 7th Street, Tell City, Indiana.
